GPA Scale

The following is a 4.0 GPA scale which is the general standard scale most widely used by high schools and colleges in the United States.

The value of A or A + is the highest score on the 4.0 GPA scale. You can convert your scores using the GPA scale table below.

How To Convert Your GPA?

To make things easier, we use the example questions below:

My GPA

4 credits class with B grade

2 credits class with A grade

2 credits class with C grade

Credits Sum = 4+2+2=8

w1 = 4/8 = 0.5

w2 = 2/8 = 0.25

w3 = 2/8 = 0.25

g1 = B = 3

g2 = A = 4

g3 = C = 2

GPA = w1×g1+ w2×g2+ w3×g3

= 0.5×3+0.25×4+0.25×2

= 1.5 + 1 + 0.5

= 3
